These competencies from HLT Health Training Package meet industry requirements for work in supporting a person to self-administer medication.
They also provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package at Certificate III and Certificate IV level.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be working in a care or support role in the community services sector. While the possession of CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is an advantage, Smart Nation Education will take into account your level of industry experience when determining your readiness to undertake the skill set.
If you have any additional support requirements, please discuss these with the Head of Training and Assessment as soon as possible to ensure all arrangements are made prior to your commencement.

To achieve competence, you will be required to successfully complete the following tasks:

✓ Simulation tasks and supervisor observation (face-to-face courses)
✓ Supervisor observation and performance questions (online courses)
Before enrolling, you must obtain agreement from your supervisor to observe and provide feedback to Smart Nation Education about your performance of medication assistance tasks in the workplace. Smart Nation Education’s qualified trainer will liaise with your nominated workplace supervisor to monitor your progress throughout the course. You will be allowed a period of two months from your date of commencement to successfully complete all assessment tasks.
Tuition fees
Online: $149 per unit of competency – total $298 for full skill set.
Face-to-face: $249 per unit of competency – total $498 for full skill set.
